Dr. Anil Yazici Reaches a Professional Milestone

We are happy to announce that Dr. Anil Yazici, a founding faculty member of our department, has been promoted to associate professor with tenure. Dr. Yazici joined SBU when Civil Engineering was a program in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and contributed greatly to the efforts of creating the new department, while at the same time launching his academic career. His research interests are broadly grouped in the areas of transportation networks and mobility, addressing topics on transportation safety and security, urban data analytics, smart cities, intelligent transportation systems, sustainability and transportation economics. He is a dedicated and effective teacher, and a sought after mentor. Dr. Yazici is an asset for the civil engineering department and we are very proud that his strong scholarship, teaching and service have earned him this well-deserved recognition.
